As soon as we started messaging, I had to hire her. She was so easy to communicate with, honestly made me feel like I was her only client, that’s how good she was. She met all my expectations and stayed within my narrow budget. About a month before our wedding, my sister died unexpectedly. Amy took pieces of her bridesmaids dress and placed them on our bouquets and also brought me a small disco ball, something to remind me of my sister, who was a real life disco ball and also was obsessed with them. “What I loved about Amy was that she took time to consult with me both over the phone and in person, showed me pictures of flower types and worked with different budget levels I had to give me incredible florals the day of. We did a family style dinner and Amy even was able to recommend on how much florals might be too much, because we didn’t want to crowd tables where food was. Originally our wedding date was set for a big venue and about 100 people. I hired Forsythia Florals and Amy and I worked together about a year out from the wedding to come up with our combined inspiration and vision for the big day. She created the dreamiest vision board that I swooned over for a full year. She is professional, genuine, prepared, and a very kind person- doesn't get any better. Then less than a month before the wedding- I chose to move the ceremony to the backyard of my house due to Covid restraints and policies by the venue. Within the month she revamped our vision and made it WORK in our backyard. It was perfect, stunning, and she pulled it off seamlessly- outside in the heat of July. Our day was better than imagined. Our big reception is 10 days away and I can’t wait to see what Amy comes up with. I fully trust her taste and judgement. “If you are in the need of a florist in the Austin area - your search is over! Since the first day that I reached out to Amy, she was nothing but helpful! I had a vision of what I wanted for my wedding in mind, and she literally brought it to life. We had to make a few adjustments to our initial plan, and Amy was nothing but helpful and willing to update our quote immediately. My husband's grandfather passed away two months before our wedding, and we wanted to incorporate some beautiful greenery that he grew at his home. Amy was able to use some of that greenery in his boutonniere (she actually assembled it day-of at the venue!) and it was so special. On the day of the wedding, Amy was so incredibly sweet and did an amazing job. All of the boutonnieres were beautiful, the bouquets were exactly what I wanted, and the spray she assembled for our wooden arch was everything I had hoped for. I heard nothing but positive comments about her from family members and friends that were helping set up the venue while we were all getting ready. Amy made a point to come introduce herself and say hello before she left the venue. Amazing customer service, so friendly and sweet, and such a talented florist. “Forsythia Florals was the florist for our wedding on April 28, 2024. The flowers were everything we wished for and more! We are so thankful that we chose Amy and Forsythia Florals. The florals were honestly the best part of our wedding day. Background My fiancé and I planned our own wedding, and honestly, finding a florist was difficult. Browsing The Knot and WeddingWire websites wasn't helpful because it was hard to differentiate between florists. We felt like flowers were much more expensive than we originally budgeted for, and we weren't connecting well with many florists. We found the intake forms and wait times for responses long. We also weren't feeling heard about our wedding vision. It surprised us that most florists don't provide floral samples before the wedding day, so it was difficult to trust someone to create our floral vision. I found Forsythia Florals through our wedding venue's Instagram page. Amy had done a wedding there over the weekend, and we LOVED the flowers, so I sent her a message. Within a day, Amy responded, and within three days, we talked in detail about our vision and completed the contract. After spending nearly two months finding a florist, everything came together in less than a week! We loved how responsive Amy was, and she really took the time to understand our wedding vision and budget. Her kind, calming, and inquisitive demeanor made us immediately trust her. Amy continued to reach out throughout our wedding planning process to check in and ensure she had all the details needed to fulfill our wedding vision. Not only was the intake process easy, but on our wedding day, Forsythia Florals went above and beyond to make our day special. Our wedding ceremony and reception were outdoors, and there was heavy rainfall and a tornado warning the morning of our wedding. Amy and her team didn't let the weather stop them.
